Basic Bitches Share “Start The World” From Upcoming “It Doesn’t Matter If It’s Cool” Album

Upstate NY’s premiere riot grrrl rock n’ roll band, Basic Bitches, have shared Start The World, the lead track from their forthcoming album, It Doesn’t Matter If It’s Cool, which is due to be released on the 7th April. The track is accompanied by a video, directed by the band themselves, and inspired by the classic 1975 documentary Grey Gardens.  The song describes the desire to return to normalcy after the solitude of COVID lockdowns and the video depicts band members Naomi Scott and Krystal Grow as Big Edie and Little Edie Bouvier Beale, recreating scenes from Grey Gardens, perhaps the ultimate story of two women who could do with leaving the house once in a while.
