Iron Gag are a punk-black metal band who have recently released their new self-titled new record, Iron Gag. The record features 9 short tracks honing in on the band’s influences in the punk genre melded with their inspiration in black metal. Intro track, “Helpless Sorrow” enters with attention grabbing screaming vocals that lay above bold guitar tones and crashing percussion. As fans continue to listen to the record, they’re greeted with the fury that rises out of “Bitter” vocals are controlled over theatrics that are portrayed within the song. “An Empty Vessel” showcases Iron Gag’s storytelling abilities as the song frenzies into a descending sound that emerges the track to a close.
