American Football along with Polyvinyl Records, Atiba Jefferson, Chris Strong, and Open House Contemporary have teamed up to buy the house that is featured on American Football’s 1999 self-titled idebut album. Polyvinyl Records released a statement regarding the purchase of the house on their website that reads in part, ”Built in 1893, the home has become a historical monument to not only the band, but every fan who's listened to their era-defining debut that established its quaint facade as iconic midwest imagery.
