Taking party metal to an entirely new level, industrialists Turmion Kätilöt’s ninth album, Global Warning, is a tour-de-force of electro beats, metallic riffs and feel good sing-a-long vocals (provided you speak Finnish). This is an opus that’s wasted through speakers at home – it’s painfully apparent that Turmion Kätilöt are a band who thrive in a live environment and their music needs to be seen on stage to be truly appreciated. The maelstrom of white hot energy they’re emitting feels stifled, however, the fun the band are having is in no way diluted and is an overriding current on this release.
