New Orleans crew Hey Thanks! generated a solid buzz for themselves with their thoughtful and intimate 2019 EP Nothing It Would Change, Nothing I Could Say. Having subsequently played dates on the Warped Tour and shows with We The Kings and Save Face, 2021 saw the band sign to Iodine Recordings, with the label homing new release, rookie full-length, Start/Living. “Conversations Make a Way” gives us an early indicator of emo stylings that are going to be on show before the gregarious, pop-first melodic punk of “From Me 2 U” screams Metro Station and brings color and vibrancy.
