Burial Waves have an atmospheric post hardcore sound that brings the listener back to the early 2000s. There is an excitement to their sound that reminds me of when the style was just coming into its own and the top bands influencing each other to create a sound that was special. Listening to Holy Ground reminds me of the excitement of hearing something new; long before it went stale. The music is light but tense. Burial Waves are constantly playing tug of war with dynamics.
