Album Review: Buñuel – Killers Like Us

As with life, there’s turbulence to be appreciated in Buñuel’s new album Killers Like Us. Unorthodox forces collide in hard rock harmony on this 10-track release recorded by an Italian trio of versatile musicians and avant-garde veteran vocalist Eugene S. Robinson (Oxbow). Guitarist Xabier Iriondo, bassist Andrea Lombardini, and drummer Francesco Valente generate various moods through doom, alternative, noise, and punk arrangements. The bass is heavily distorted throughout, and the guitars chafe away in a super fuzzed assault, giving the record its unique crunch.
