Southend hardcore band Understand have announced a new album of previously-unreleased material. Over 20 years on from their split in 1999, the band are set to unveil Real Food At Last on April 7 via Rise Records. A collection of work written and recorded the year before they called it a day, the LP arrives now following the tragic loss of their guitarist John Hannon in 2021: “Obviously this stunned and shocked our whole camp, but it also inspired us to really make a go of this release and make it something special in John’s memory,” explains vocalist Dom Anderson.
