Hardcore band HOLD MY OWN drop “No Respect Due” with SUNAMI’s Josef Alfonso

Chicago’s hardcore scene got a jolt today, with Hold My Own releasing their new single “No Respect Due” through DAZE. Clocking in at just over two minutes, the track hits hard with churning rhythms, down-tuned riffs, and a breakdown built for the pit’s toughest. Vocalist Gregory Falchetto brings a gritty edge, matched by Sunami frontman Josef Alfonso’s raw-throated guest spot as they tear into lyrics dripping with disdain. Recorded at Bricktop Recording in Chicago by Andy Nelson—who also mixed and engineered it—the song got its final polish from Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, with extra hands from Jayway and Nico LaCorcia.
