West Coast punks The Last Gang will release their third album Obscene Daydreams on September 20 via Fat Wreck Chords (pre-order), and judging by the songs we’ve heard from it so far, it sounds like they’re going in a few new directions after toying with reggae-infused punk on their last album. “We don’t really have a theme,” says vocalist/guitarist Brenna Red. “We’re just a bunch of punk rockers who like to make music and write about things that make us feel good and angry and alive.” They recently released the grungy lead single “Madness,” and we’re now premiering second single “Berlin To Rome,” a gritty punk anthem that also has a bit of a post-punk vibe with its stabbing guitars and groovy rhythm section.
