Atlanta’s worlds greatest dad have signed to long-running punk label SideOneDummy (whose current roster includes Carpool, Cliffdiver, Walter Etc, and more), and they’ve announced their sophomore album, Better Luck Next Time, due September 13. Vocalist/guitarist Maddie Duncan says the band have embraced “redneck emo,” influenced by growing up in the backwoods of Florida, and the result on lead single “Twenty Deer” is something that’s not far removed from bands like Wednesday and Ratboys. “I wrote this song in my head while driving through the Poconos on a DIY tour, running on four hours of sleep.
