This is California’s Taken Days follow up to the 2021 album Every Second (reviewed on this site), and as second albums go, Any Minute is above and beyond and how the march of time has suited this band. From Blink 182 to Green Day, The Mezingers and Alkaline Trio the musical comparisons are endless, but what does give this band/album a head above the parapet chance in a crowded genre, is the feeling of being on the edge, pop punk with balls and a touch of grittiness that lifts the spirits as well as cleansing the mind from the shit shower of the world around you.
