New beginnings can be hard, but that doesn’t mean a thing to Boise ID’s MASKOTS. Whereas many of their peers have given up at the sight of hardship, the post hardcore-quartet made the conscious decision to continue on after multiple lineup changes shook their very foundation. Their new self-titled EP is evidence of this, described as a “revamp” by drummer Sam Gates. “[The EP] has some new songs, updated structure, and a fresh sound,” he remarks.
