Joining two different brands of ethereal sound, former This Will Destroy You guitarist Christopher Royal King and composer Christopher Tignor have released their first song as Disassembler. “In Devotion” combines both of their signature styles into an instrumental swirl of ambience. “In Devotion” comes from Disassembler’s debut album, A Wave From a Shore, out March 11 on Western Vinyl. The track features a blend of tape loops and synthesized sounds. The collaboration was done entirely digitally between King and Tignor, who live on the West and East Coasts respectively. “Like the other pieces on Wave, I honed in on melodic and harmonic qualities and then orchestrated it out with a ton of violin tracks and low end string samples,” Tignor says of the track....
