After teasing a “sister record” to 2020’s A Celebration Of Endings in March, Biffy Clyro have now confirmed that they finished work on their “amazing” new album last week. On the red carpet at last night’s BRIT Awards (where they were nominated for British Group but lost out to Little Mix), Simon Neil and Ben and James Johnston told NME that their new LP should be “hopefully out in October”. “Originally it was going to be completely hand-in-hand,” the frontman said of if this mystery new full-length is considered a “sister record” still. “They do relate, but because we didn’t tour I ended up writing about seven or eight new songs for the album.
